Jill McDonald is rapidly
becoming nationally recognized as an extremely talented
young designer with a colorful, whimsical style that's
fresh, fun and unique.
Jill graduated from the prestigious
Rhode Island School of Design in 1998 with a degree
in textile design. She then joined Baby Gap in Gap's
Manhattan, New York design headquarters as a print
stylist. After two highly successful years at Gap Jill
made the decision to return to her hometown of Kansas
City, MO and joined Hallmark Cards as an illustrator.
During her three years with Hallmark Jill created numerous
top selling gift-wrap and greeting card collections
for Hallmark, Target and Wal-Mart.
In January 2004 Jill felt the
time was right to strike out on her own and founded
Jill McDonald Design. Jill specializes in surface design
collections and illustrations oriented towards baby,
kids and teen.
Among Jill's first major projects
was the creation of a fun, colorful children's sleep-wear
collection called "MY" line. In addition
she has earned an on-going partnership with Target
creating all of the prints for a dynamic new line of
teen bedding. Jill has also created bedding designs
for The Company Store and Triboro Quilt. Jill has designed
product lines for companies in the social expressions
industry including KI memories, Amscan, Thompson Products
and Glitter-Wrap.
